When you tap the picture-in-picture button, you reduce your SharePlay session to a floating window, allowing you to access other apps on your iPhone or iPad. (You'll need to be running the latest version of tvOS for this feature to work.) SharePlay and picture-in-pictureĪpple added picture-in-picture to the iPhone last year, and that feature figures to get a workout in FaceTime now that ShareTime's here. If you're near an Apple TV, you can switch playback over to that device, enabling you to watch your movie or show on a big screen while continuing the FaceTime call on your phone.
